Central Indiana Traveling Laser Tag Tournament

A brand new traveling laser tag tournament will be held on Labor Day, September 4th. Teams of 4 will travel to 5 different laser tag centers and compete on 5 different brands of laser tag equipment in a single day.

Teams will start the day at Expo Bowl in Beach Grove at 9:00 a.m. where they will compete in a laser tag system from Laser Storm. From there the teams will travel up I-465 to Castleton and compete at X-Site Amusement Center using equipment from Zone Systems. Then its just a short hop over to Carmel where the teams will compete at Laser Flash. The laser tag system at Laser Flash comes from LASERTRON. That afternoon the teams will head straight west on Highway 32 over to Crawfordsville to Taylor Lanes for the fourth leg of the competition. The laser tag system at Taylor Lanes comes from VEQTOR. Finally, teams will head north on Highway 231 to Lafayette to Great Skates Fun Center for the final round of the tournament. The laser tag system at Great Skates is from Lazer Runner.

The entry fee is $60 per team. The winning team will receive trophies. Players must provide their own transportation between tournament sites. Teams should call one of the participating laser tag centers to register by August 28th so that competition brackets can be drawn up.

The purpose of the tournament is to create a little excitement for laser tag players and to give them a special opportunity through some cooperation among rival laser tag centers. A similar tournament, called Armageddon, has been held annually out east on the 4th of July. Jason Bock, a frequent participant in Armageddon, says, “I can guarantee at least a couple of teams from Ohio will come to Indiana for this tournament.”

To find one of the 670-plus laser tag centers in North America, go to WhereToPlayLaserTag.com or you can view the same information on a map at mapmuse.com.
