Laser Flash, Carmel Kids wearing blinking vests and carrying laser guns scurry around a labyrinth in a dimly lit warehouse.

Careful. Round a corner too quickly and suddenly -- Zap! You've been "tagged."

This describes a typical evening of fun inside the 7,800-square-foot arena at Laser Flash, 617 Third Avenue S.W., one of the state's largest laser-tag centers.

Laser Flash is a game of tag using futuristic-looking vests and phaser guns. Up to 38 people can play at once in the 20-minute game sessions.

The facility can be rented for overnight lock-ins, birthdays or special occasions. It is one of the many laser-tag facilities that have opened nationwide.

As the kids play, parents can munch on pizza while they wait in the lobby, decorated with a space theme.
